Smokin' Slice of Mojo is a high-energy soul/R&B band focused on getting audiences up and dancing. The band recreates the signature sound that make this genre timeless. The band features a power trio of male and female lead vocalists, great backing harmonies, a high-powered rhythm section, and realistic horns. The band is based in the San Francisco Bay Area.

Our Shows
We are a high-energy band specializing in family-friendly entertainment, perfect for civic events. Our goal is to actively engage the crowd, not just play music. With a classic Soul/R&B setlist, complemented by carefully selected contemporary tunes consistent with our roots, we ensure every community demographic is included. Our performances are "clean," with no profanity or inappropriate lyrics, making us suitable for audiences of all ages. Depending on the event, attendance at our public performances range from about 700 to 1,500+ people.
Booking Details
We understand that booking bands is one of several assignments that end up on your busy desk. Also, many of our band members have worked in the public sector and we know firsthand that you have an extra special responsibility to your community. Our job is to make your job easier, and to take away as many worries and uncertainties as possible, while putting on a great show. From booking, pre-show logistics, the performance itself, and post-performance details, you are getting a seasoned and experienced professional band. Our band prides itself on being dependable, easy to work with, and very responsive to requirements. We have an established track record, and we can provide references if needed.

Sound Management: the band has extensive experience and a good reputation in working with local sound companies. The band can provide a professional stage plot and input requirements to assist the sound engineer. The band can provide equipment, lighting, and a third party sound engineer if required. The band always complies with start and stop times, and will strictly adhere to sound limits.
